Actsoft's CEO & Founder

Thomas H. Mitchell
Founder & CEO

Tom Mitchell is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Actsoft, Inc. Prior to starting Actsoft, Tom spent 12 years with Lincoln Property Company, gradually rising to the position of Vice President and Southeast Division Controller. During his tenure with LPC, he designed and implemented a number of computer automation projects. He was the first to introduce computers to apartment sites so the company could better manage their leasing business.

Mr. Mitchell started Actsoft in 1996 as a custom software development company, seeking a niche market to penetrate. Quickly Actsoft seized an opportunity in the transportation industry, servicing same-day delivery companies. Tom has diligently sought and positioned strategic professionals within his organization to ensure that the very best experience is had by customers, partners and employees alike. Over fifteen years into the journey, Actsoft now boasts approximately 110 employees, markets several lines of software, has relationships with all of the major US carriers and several international carriers. He has been able to accomplish this with little outside investment and maintains a profitable company.

Mr. Mitchell is a high honors graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Building Construction.

Actsoft's Executive Vice President

Kevin Thigpen
Executive Vice President

Mr. Thigpen has over 20 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, having built and launched entire wireless networks from the ground up.

At his previous position, Kevin worked directly with the lead investor to start the company and launch the company's GPS and Location Based Services (LBS) wireless business solutions. He successfully negotiated strategic agreements with Sprint/Nextel and other key business partners to deploy GPS applications across the United States. Kevin helped position the company to be aquired by Actsoft in 2006.

At Boston Communications Group (BCGI), he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Prepaid Wireless Services Division. Under his leadership and strategic direction, BCGI's prepaid wireless business surpassed two million subscribers in North America. In 1999, Intele-Card News Magazine named Kevin one of the industry's "Top 25 Most Influential People in Prepaid".

Kevin started his career in 1987 with GTE where he held a variety of positions in sales, marketing, distribution, operations and general management in several key regions. During his career at GTE, Kevin earned many different awards and recognition for his performance. He consistently exceeded his objectives for sales, revenue contribution, net growth and performance against budget. Mr. Thigpen was a member of several GTE company-wide leadership teams, including GTE's Workforce Diversity Program and he served as an Advisor to the Culture Steering Committee. He also represented GTE as a member of the LEAD Board of Directors. Prior to leaving GTE, Mr. Thigpen was responsible for GTE's first commercial launch of Personal Communications Services (PCS) and the CDMA digital wireless network in the Cincinnati-Dayton Major Trading Area (MTA).

Actsoft's Vice President of Operations

Eric Rabinovitz
Executive Vice President

Eric has been with Actsoft since 2003. He was responsible for building, training, and managing one of the most successful sales organizations in the Mobile Resource Management Space. Working alongside the wireless carriers to pioneer the MRM solutions selling model, his team created a mutually beneficial experience for both partners and clients.

In 2008, Eric moved into an Operations capacity where he assumed executive responsibility over the company’s Product Suite, Marketing, Learning Management and Customer Experience.

Eric has driven the Actsoft product suite to new heights with the advancements in wireless data collection, time keeping, order dispatching, M2M solutions, tablet and smart phone offerings.

Innovations that streamline the way today’s businesses handle mobile assets remain a key passion for Eric. He is a strong believer in “Raving Fan” customer service and is dedicated to delivering a positive return on investment for all of Actsoft’s clients.

Eric attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He currently resides in Tampa, FL.

Dmitri Korotkevitch
Director of Development

Dmitri joined the Actsoft team as a Software Developer in 1999 with an already impressive portfolio. He was an original member of the Comet Tracker design team – Actsoft’s flagship product. Ten years later as Director of Development, Dmitri leads the ongoing development process as a System Architect and leader. He is an integral component of Actsoft’s constant evolution to meet ever-changing market demands.

Dmitri holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science and has received MCPD and MCITP certificates. He resides in Actsoft’s hometown of Tampa.

Actsoft's Director of Product Design & Quality Assurance

Trent Cherin
Vice President of Technology

Trent brings 15 years of Transportation and over 5 years Software design experience to Actsoft.

After attending the University of Iowa, he was one of Actsoft’s first customers while working as a dispatcher for a same-day delivery company in the Seattle area. During his time in the small-medium freight business, Trent designed and deployed many of the core features still in the Actsoft products today. He joined Actsoft in 2003 as the Product Manager for the Comet Tracker Suite of software.

Trent has retired from the US Army after serving a tour of duty in Iraq. He resides in Tampa, Fl.

Michael Courter
Vice President of Client Strategy

With over 10 years experience in the wireless communications industry, Michael has interacted one-on-one with hundreds of businesses. He brings to the Actsoft team a wealth of knowledge, inherent in someone who has taken the time to understand how different businesses utilize wireless technology to extract the most benefits.

After starting his career in the St. Louis market in sales, Michael quickly moved up to sales and operations management. He then moved to Chicago to run another business-to-business wireless sales organization. Throughout his tenure, he has successfully worked with his teams to leverage wireless phones toward providing effective solutions. In 2006, Michael came to Actsoft to lead the Midwest market and in 2008 moved to the headquarters in Tampa, FL with the goal of providing maximum value and ease of use to all of Actsoft’s clients.

Michael believes strongly in the product. He says “I have seen what the Actsoft’s solution can do for a business. When clients implement our software, they truly have a more efficient operation that enables them to be industry leaders and rise above their competition.”

Actsoft's Director of Customer Care Services

Scotty Hall
Director of Customer Care Services

Hired in 2007 as Director of Customer Care, Scotty is responsible for all facets of Actsoft’s Customer Care Department. He offers a motivational and supportive management style while expecting only the very best from his staff. A Customer service veteran, Scotty understands the world of Customer Service after accumulating over 20 years of experience working with customers in Retail, Technical Operations, Sales/Marketing, and Call Center environments.

He comes to Actsoft after serving 14 years with Catalina Marketing, having most recently held the position of Director of Customer Product Support. Prior to that, he served as the Retail Operations Manager for the Midwest Region (Chicago) and Senior Field Service Technician (Atlanta). Throughout these periods of constant change, he continually standardized and improved customer care processes and service level agreements. Before Catalina, he spent 6 years working for a major retail grocery chain in Georgia (Bruno’s) managing their headquarters retail store. Scotty has a unique perspective of how the company can best serve its clients based on his long and varied experience.

His three cornerstones for building team performance is Focus, Accountability, and Cohesiveness, which will help in meeting their company mission of Building Relationships. Creating Solutions. Delivering Results. Worldwide. Scotty earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Information system from Savannah State University.
